• For new 2.6 kernels use i2c-parport module with adapter type = 0 (Philips adapter). Tested with 2.6.15.4.

Features:

• supports all AT89Cx051 family chips (MCS-51 compatibile)
• allows writing data to the microcontroller
• supports data verification during write
• allows reading data from microcontroller to file
• allows erasing flash

Todo:

• implement lock-bits setting in programmer software
• sometimes crashes (SIGSEGV) during device shutdown. find out why.
• Intel .hex file support. For now you can use hex2bin, an Intel/Motorola hex file format to binary converter.
